Language Arts 7C and 7D

The LA groups have started a new Mystery unit. There are a lot of fun and interesting activities that both groups will be participating in.

Both classes have been working in the library on stations which will be completed early next week.

During this theme each student will be required to complete a Mystery novel project as well as to write a mystery story. A lot of this work will be completed in school but please remind students to read each night.

Math 8D and 8E

Both math classes have finished Chapter 7 and completed the chapter test.

We will be working on Chapter 8 for the next few weeks.

Language Arts 7C and 7D

Both Language Arts classes are finishing up the Tech Effects Unit.

Next Thursday, March 4th, there will be a test covering material learned within this unit. Also, we will be starting a Narrative piece of writing which will be due the following week.

We had a library class this week and all students should have a new novel. Please remind your child to read 20 minutes a night. Thanks.

Math 8E and 8D

Both Math classes completed the Chapter 5 test - look for it to becoming home early next week.

We are now starting Chapter 7 - Volume.

Language Arts

Students have been presenting their novels studies this past week and we have been treated to some outstanding technological productions!

Technology papers are now past due...just a few left to come in...you know who you are:)

Math 8E and 8D

Students are working on the Math Review and Practise test for Chapter 4 in preparation for their test next week.

8D - Wednesday Feb. 24th - Day 3
8E - Thursday Feb. 25th - Day 4

Students that have completed the chapter are working on 3D models of miniture cities.

Math 8D and 8E

Both math classes have begun Chapter 5, Surface Area. We have been exploring 3D objects, their nets and surface areas.

Students have also been looking at planning a miniture community and the shapes and sizes the buildings would need to be if created.
